This primary hybrid between Phrag. caricinum x Phrag. caudatum is a very popular hybrid in the orchid community. This hybrid has won multiple awards since it was first registered by Veitch in 1870. It is one of the most adaptable Phragmapedium hybrids with caricinum a lithophyte growing on banks of rivers and streams and caudatum being found growing in more exposed areas as epiphyte, lithophyte and/or terrestrial. Which makes this hybrid ideal for orchid growers of all levels from novice to experienced.
